Introducing the Team- Part 2

Kimberley is the Service Manager for MAIN’s Teesside and Durham services. Working at MAIN for 12 years, Kimberley has had various roles including Trainer & Autism Resource Coordinator for MAIN’s Autism Post Diagnostic Support Service in County Durham. MAIN’s focus is to support families in the North-east and Kimberley puts her MSc in Health Psychology and Clinical Skills to use.

What do you do day-to-day?

As a manager, Kimberley’s role is to support the CEO and ensure staff are adhering to policies and procedures and establishing a positive working environment.

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy being able to support our families and staff and meeting with local services to signpost and ensure individuals in the disability community are heard and know what is available to them.

Why do you think the ‘Here to Help’ project is important?

Working as an Autism Coordinator, I supported Autistic individuals 1:1 and understand the need for additional resources and support to help promote the Autistic self and provide a toolkit to reduce suicidality.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I enjoy spending time with my family, going outside, crocheting and crafting!

What is an interesting fact about you?

My friend invited a real-life cow to my wedding and me and my husband had our wedding featured in the local newspaper! What can I say, I love cows.
