How do we use co-production?
The ‘Here to Help’ Team believe that all work about autism should include autistic people as much as possible in the process. We are interested in hearing from as many autistic people as possible so we can determine how we should produce resources and deliver sessions.
To achieve this, we are gathering feedback from:
- Autistic university students through our work with local higher education providers
- Autistic individuals more broadly though co-production groups. We aim to make these as accessible as possible and so have online and face-to-face groups, and also are open to working with individuals on a one-to-one basis. We also take into account personal communication preferences and will take feedback in the way most suited to the individual including but not limited to video call, phone call, text and email.
- Parents and carers of autistic individuals through our work with local parent forums and support groups
- Professionals who support autistic individuals through our professional steering group
- Academics who research autism and suicidality.
If you are interested in being involved in one of our groups, please email heretohelp@sjog.org.uk with a description of what group you would like to be involved with, and how you would like to be involved.
